Yep, solo you just control the crew of your ship.
I’ll definitely write something up after I play it. It just may be awhile. We’re finishing a campaign game now and then heading into a Shadows of Brimstone campaign (probably with some smaller games in between). Our last SoB campaign took us about 6 months… So, it’ll be hard to say when I’ll get this on the table. But it is high on my list.
Won Paupers Ladder with 1 player, Solo scenario 2: The Saltash Necromancer in 41 mins.
Defeated the Necromancer with the Spirit Blade & completed the side quest with 47 gems in the bank, a trained bird, and a fine steed. #bgstats
Dope. I’ve not heard of it.
Excited to hear your impressions.
It’s the new big co-op adventure game from Richard Launius (Arkham Horror, Defenders of the Realm / Last Stand). It’s a cyberpunk detective theme.
Dark Venture 2e is a great improvement over the original rules. Glad to see that Rob incorporated my house rules into the game to speed things up. Played a couple of games with some of the new expansions, and had a blast.
Games most played in my dungeon in January 2026:
HeroQuest;
Tales from the Red Dragon Inn;
Talisman: Revised 4th Edition;
Talisman: The Magical Quest Game – 5th Edition;
Vantage;
Warhammer Quest: Darkwater;
Dungeon Degenerates: Hand of Doom;
Paupers’ Ladder;
Escape the Dark Castle.
Attempting to defeat the Mimic and Red Dragon solo as the Rogue.
A couple friends and I were victorious against the Displacer Beast and Beholder earlier this week (Cleric, Fighter and Rogue). Thought the game felt a bit easy but we narrowly won with two turns left.
All great games! Approved. ![]()
Learning LA-1. Despite a couple of issues I have with the production (game is a massive table hog, and no dividers were provided for the card library), I’m enjoying it. Arkham Horror DNA can be felt throughout. Opening the box reminded me of the good old golden days of FFG - no minis, no over production, just a hell of a lot of cardboard for a great random adventure.
I’ve been wanting to get this one back to the table, along with Battle of the Ancients.
Excited to hear how you feel about it after playing some. Was close to backing it, but ultimately wasn’t sold during the campaign.
After finishing my first game, I immediately started another. This game totally feels like it’s from the golden era of FFG games. If you like games like Arkham / Eldritch Horror and cyberpunk theme, I can’t imagine it falling flat.
It plays like a cross between Civitas Nihilium and Arkham Horror.
Sounds like I’ll be picking up a copy then!
Do we see a video about this game? sounds goooood ![]()
Absolutely. Will be recording one this week.
Playing D&D Castle Ravenloft board game for the first time, just beat the second adventure with 10 HP to spare! Used both healing surges.
You can combine all the D&D game for a fun hexcrawl as well!
