Hi everyone! I’m Nick, from Los Angeles. My history of gaming…I played HeroQuest by Milton Bradley/Games Workshop quite regularly since the 90s (with a few years break every now and again). That was pretty much the extent of my gaming until quite recently though I also picked up Advanced HeroQuest from eBay around 2007 but could never get into it. With Hasbro’s rerelease of HeroQuest in 2021, it kicked my dungeon crawling into high gear. I have two groups that each meet once a month to play HQ and have now played 100 + quests in the past three years. But I had to have more! I bought Warhammer Quest Silver Tower and Shadows over Hammerhal in July ‘22 and played that with my partner regularly. After an 8 month hunt, and due in large part to The Dungeon Dive’s glowing praise, I picked up Warhammer Quest (1995) back in August ‘22 and my partner and I have been playing that as well. I also play WHQ: Cursed City, Gorechosen, Chaos in the Old World, WHQ: Adventure Card Game, DungeonQuest, Battlemasters, Talisman (3e, 4e and now 5e) and I just started to get into Age of Sigmar (only played two games) and found a local Mordheim group I’ve played one game with though I’d like to get more involved with that group too. If it wasn’t obvious, I’m into Dungeon crawls and classic GW games hold a special place but I didn’t play them in my youth, so no nostalgia-colored glasses (not that anything’s wrong with nostalgia-colored glasses). Im currently building a Warhammer: The Old World Skaven army and Bretonnian army though I never played WHFB “back in the day”. I just love the setting. Happy to be here!
