I’ve been playing Ghost of Yotei and I’m enjoying it. I never played Tsushima so I don’t have a reference point for comparison, but this game has good action, exploration, and of course graphics.

I’ve been playing Outer Worlds 2. I don’t really remember much from the first one, but the sequel’s been a blast so far. You really gotta pick your play-style and build towards it. And I think you have to accept that you might not be able to get everything in a single playthrough. But there’s also often multiple ways to do things based on your skills, perks, starting traits, background, or items in your inventory. Even your flaws can come up for dialogue options (and while I didn’t pick “dumb” I imagine that one comes up a lot). And flaws pop up throughout the game offering you a trade off if you accept them. Like “bad knees” that lets you move faster while sneaking but when you crouch everyone in 10 meters hears your creaking knees.

I’m only on the first planet still but it already seems more memorable than the first game, imo. Not to say it isn’t without issues. You can sequence break and make some dialogues weird. It’s often not clear exactly what will be effected by certain perks. I have an outfit with a missing leg when I look at my character. The statistics on weapons change based on which one is equipped and you need to exit the menu and come back in with a weapon equipped to get it’s actual stats. But so far the good is far outweighing the bad.

I’ll be taking a look at The Secret of Weepstone soon on the channel.

I have a video for The Crazy Hyper Dungeon Chronicles posting soon. That game is great! Highly recommended.

Going to try out Crazy Hyper Dungeon as it looks neat - thanks for the heads up / recommendation. :folded_hands:t2:

Still plugging in Yotei but also have been semi-addicted to Shattered Pixel Dungeon on my phone, to the point where the family’s like “C’mon Dad” as they walk away from me staring at my phone in the Target aisle. Recently beat the 3rd boss and enjoying making progress.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon is great! One of the few phone games I actually play.

The artist for this was the cat on Nidhogg 2. I really love their style, you might as well if you dig Dark Venture or Dungeon Degenerates.

Demo is up on Steam and I really like it so far. Even though Rogue Lites are down there as one of my least favorite ways to play a game.

Something about them tends to spiral me into existential dread.

Time to re-install and pick up where I forced myself to pause.

According to the App Store, Shattered Pixel wants to track your location. This is usually a red-flag for me. Please can anyone who has it confirm that you can deny permission for sharing location and still run the app?

In Settings there’s a box for sharing gameplay data, which you can toggle on and off. Here’s a link to the full privacy policy, where the dev details what the data is used for - Privacy Policy - Shattered Pixel Dungeon

My app settings say I have no permissions allowed for Shattered Pixel Dungeon and I just opened and ran it fine.

Cool, thank you both

I mentioned Morsels earlier and how much fun I had with the Steam Demo. I stand by that enjoyment, however, I purchased the game on Switch. I don’t have a Steam Deck and the game felt like a nice handheld experience, something to curl up with on a couch while Angela watches something on tv.

I’m not sure if an update is coming or it was just day one bugs but the game was almost unplayable with lags, crashes, and stutters. I just got off a chat with Nintendo support to request a refund.

I will probably buy it on Steam at some point. Really fun and creative with a killer design. May run better on Switch 2? My PC is old and doesn’t have a lot of power so I figured Switch was a safe bet.

Just a heads up.

(Also, getting the link reminded me that Annapurnainteractive has put this out and there was some stuff I remember about a massive walkout with the studio though it’s all wrapped in a general haze of memory. Your mileage may vary on all that jazz.)

Thank you for the heads up. I was close to getting it for Switch but just ended up wish listing instead. Will let it bake for a bit.
