I am playing Unicorn Overlord which is fantastic! It’s like a throwback to Ogre Battle which I loved as a kid. Really addicting and modernizes the genre somewhat with an open world that you can capture towns and enter strategic battles.
What platform are you on? Is this something that works well on the Switch?
Just started Tunic, and yes!
I am on Xbox, Fiendishfiend is my Gamer tag, but yeah this would work fantastic on the Switch
I haven’t video games in a long time, but when I do I like to play Vermintide or Back 4 Blood. Spent years (and a ton of money) playing Neverwinter, right up until they broke the game so I moved on to ESO… that game is absolutely gorgeous and perfect in almost every way.
Agreee ESO is pretty great although I haven’t played it in awhile.
I really like Vermintide 1 and 2 as well. I didn’t really give Back4Blood a fair shake but I really like the Left4Dead series
Vermintide and Back 4 Blood are pretty much copies of each other, just different faces. They’re a ton of brainless fun and easy to just pick up and romp around every once in a while.
What are you playing on? The Pc or console?
Xbox. That is my answer, but it says I have to put at least 20 characters in order to leave a response… so I’m typing out that I need to leave at least 20 characters in order to leave a response so that I can respond ![]()
Haha it told me that too as I put too short of an answer before.
Yeah we need to play some Vermintide sometime. I think they are working on a third one too
Woot woot! (Plus 6 more characters
)
Been casually playing Dave the Diver.
I am also still addicted to Slay the Spire. Can never get enough of it.
I’m still making my way through Nioh 2. I’ve played for about 65 hours, and I’m at the last chapter of the final area for the DLC. Love this game. The remastered version looks and plays like a dream. It’s like the perfect mix between Diablo and Dark Souls. So fast and furious, with so many layers of systems. Very complex, but super rewarding.
Would someone who is not very good at Souls like games enjoy it?
Hard to say. It’s different enough that I might say…maybe? Where the Souls games are super slow, and the actions mostly can’t be comboed or canceled, Nioh is all about combos and action canceling. It also depends on how much you enjoy hanging out in menus managing loot, stats and systems. The game is mission based, so no open world. Each mission is it’s own level. The levels get re-used for sub-missions and variants. It also has a far more robust NG+ system, where the game changes significantly up through NG+3 or so. It’s hard as hell, but once it clicks it’s so satisfying, if also a bit frustrating at times.
Playing the Silent Hill 2 remake on PS5 presently. I never played the original so it’s all new to me.
Enjoying it, thus far. On par with the recent Resident Evil remakes.
Good spooky endeavor for Halloween.

While waiting for Suikoden Remaster (I played it like 100 years ago on the PS1 and completely fell in love with it), I’m currently playing Ejyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on PC/Steam. It feels wonderfully old-school, without being old-fashioned.
I am also excited for the Suikoden Remaster!
Suikoden is a favorite of mine. I drove three hours to buy my original copy when it came out because that was the closest store that had one.
