What's on your table? General Tabletop Game Discussion

I’m glad for the dungeon sets they managed to break up the right angles that make sense in sci fi and modern but not fantasy settings.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Mummy’s Mask. Yeah, you may notice I have a very unique setup  just started deck 4. This is my favorite of the PACG series and the art is ridiculously great and evocative. Might be my favorite art next to Dungeon Degenerates.

The Pathfinder Adventure Card games are really underrated imo. The 2.0 version is great too with the expansion Curse of the Crimson Throne.

Very much agree. I still haven’t played a better game that nails character progression as well. The interplay between new cards and new abilities is incredibly well designed and there’s so much to discover through play. It reminds me of Diablo and the addictive quality of the loot cycle and incrementally improving your character over time. I’ve sunk over 200 hours into the game and I still very much enjoy it.

Looking forward of your video. Probably not going to buy 2nd edition but I was consodering 1st edition (someone near me sells it dirt cheap - 25€).
I mean 1st edition with printed 2nd edition rulebook is good to go? Or not?

Was the map part of Mummy’s Mask? It’s the only one of them I never ended up playing, and decided I couldn’t go backwards after the amazing job they did of streamlining in 2nd edition

No, the map is actually from the map pack that was sold for the rpg Pathfinder adventure path of Mummy’s Mask. If I sink 40 hours into a campaign, I look for any opportunity to upgrade my game to add to the experience.I love the maps from the digital app and I find it just adds a bit more of immersion.

I also am a fan of the 2nd edition and I’ll probably sink some more time into that soon when I get a chance. Mummy’s Mask is my favorite of all the campaigns mostly because I feel like mechanics match up to the theme the best (examining especially) and it really captures the feel of exploring tombs and ziggurats. I love the whole sword and sandals vibe of it all. Lone Shark hit their stride with this one, learning from all of the earlier releases. It has great variety where every scenario is doing something different.

The character design too especially is good and varied in this one I feel.

It’s amazing how the right size of box and rule book for a game can make the entire experience better.

We just cannot wean ourselves off of playing Slay the Spire. It really is such a good game. :hugs:

Am surprised this one was not more popular. I loved the original Helionox and this one looks like a worthy successor.

Can you play 2e rules with 1e boxes?

Yes, you can play the 1E boxes using the 2E Rules. I have recently gotten into this game myself and am loving the Mummy’s Mask set. I liked the game enough that I went and bought Apocrypha as well.

Finally getting Elder Scrolls Call to Arms back on the table :love_you_gesture:

That looks great! What expansions are you using?

I reeeeally wanted to fall for Shadows of Malice, but it never clicked for me. I suspect I don’t quite have the imagination needed to put texture on the mechanics.

I can see that. It’s the blank slate story telling that I enjoy the most. A game more focused on creating stories, and not telling them. I think it’s kind of a masterpiece.l

Finally found a copy of Hellbringer with both supplement expansions. Excited to get this to the table!
