What's on your table? General Tabletop Game Discussion

It’s a very unique game in what it asks of the players. I think the rule book is fine, but it plays so differently from other games that it can be a little hard to grasp until it all comes together. Such a great game.

The two small pack expansions mentioned in the video.

That was exactly what I was thinking. I remember being absolutely overwhelmed but when I look at all the other games I’ve managed to figure out in the last 10+ years, I can’t help but think a return to Mage Knight might go very, very differently this time. I’m currently trying to figure out Dragons Down and that’s actually what sparked my interest in taking another look at Mage Knight - plus people like dbm posting they’re still playing it.

Played a 4-player game of Spirit Island - we managed to win at Fear level 2 by taking out all the towns and cities.

I’ve only played three or four times but really enjoy this game!

Have been on the high seas the last couple of weeks :pirate_flag:

Not much dungeon crawling to report but my view from the board game table was literally Middle Earth:

Ha awesome! I just started reading the Hobbit again!

Awesome, was that specifically a board game cruise or did you just travel with a group of gamers?

This is maybe the most unique board game I have ever “played.” A puzzle lovers game! I even sent it to Mr. Puzzle YouTube.

A “found game” from an ancient alien race. The game is to decode how to play the game via the alien glyphs and schematics.

I have worked on it every day for a week and have yet to figure out how to even begin. It has legs. Very reminiscent of RIVEN, a game that took me a decade to complete.

I remember hearing about this via a SUSD podcast (I think). Sounds very unique and purposefully obtuse. Good luck!

Just received this via Kickstarter. Backed it in December 2021 and it is the longest project I’ve ever backed that actually delivered.

Now I have an excuse to actually learn Troika.

I’ve been playing Last Bastion the last couple of days.

Getting Cyberflesh to the table for the first time in quite a while. The art in this game is just incredible. This art would feel right at home on a Genesis game case.

Oh wow, that looks really cool! Looks ALIEN based. Gonna look it up on BGG.

Holy crap it’s expensive! I was hoping there was a PnP version.

It is pretty pricey. It’s certainly more of a boutique/art game. It feels like a vehicle that was created to showcase the sick art style, which I’m cool with. And the game that is here is fun and quick playing, but it’s not a deep game by any means. It fits a nice slot in my collection of quick to setup and play when I don’t want a more involved game.

Really impressed with this $5 PnP solo game.
I am writing a few minor rules tweaks and will put them up on BGG in a couple of days.
Found this through TDD YT.

I’ve had a review for it on the channel for some time!

I remember it. I’m only interested in this one if I can print it myself though.

Sticking this here as it doesn’t warrant its own topic, and maybe it ends up on my table… …any noise about a new edition of Lands of Galzyr? A copy has shown up local-ish at an ok price, but I half remember something about a newer version being on the way?
