What's on your table? General Tabletop Game Discussion

A new expansion for LoG is delivering now. The game is definitely worth picking up. One of my favorites adventure games of all time.

Does anyone know what is going on with Marching Order?
I discovered it late last night in Daniel’s video “A guide to solo, analog, dungeon crawls (solo RPG)”.
On https://crumblingkeep.itch.io/ all I can find is the quick start guide and some supplements. Is the full version no longer available? Also the dedicated webpage is down. https://marchingordergame.com/

The 2nd edition of Marching Order! We’re taking solo/ co-op play to a new level. More adventures, random dungeon generation, and more.

Marching Order 2nd Edition is currently in development. Progress is slow. But they do provide semi-regular updates

So the project is delayed. Having never worked on a game of this magnitude thus far, I didn’t quite expect all the quality assurance steps to take so long. That said, the books are trudging through editing and layout section by section. Our plan is to get the game out during Q1 of next year.

I believe they are all out of Edition 1 materials – late pledging for Edition 2 might be the go.

Damn! They are doing great.
I was planning to spend $10-20 unfortunately for me, not $125 plus shipping.

I’ll just have to wait for it to return to PnP.

Dude, this is freakin awesome for solo RPG and journal games!

I found it for use generating names for towns for The Unseen World.

Apparently it doesn’t use AI!

Revisiting Dark Venture: Battle of the Ancients after a few years of it sitting on my shelf. I wanted to like the game more than I did back when I first got it. I’m glad I’ve finally decided to dive back in and give it another chance; I’m enjoying it much more this time around.

I really wanted to be interested in this for solo play because the art is so jaw dropping but as I recall either there were no solo rules or the gameplay itself didn’t grab me.

There are definitely solo rules for Battle of the Ancients! Each faction has it’s own deck of AI cards, and it plays very well solo.

Diving into a solo game of Chronicals of Avel. Finally found a copy of Adventurer’s Toolkit so had to start with some much needed footwear.

The Unseen World is now listed on BGG. Head on over and give it a review if you’ve played it.
Also, I am working on a pretty significant reworking of some of the rules. Little quality of play improvements that I feel add a lot while changing very little. It would be cool if some of my ideas made it into a second edition if people like them.

Sometimes a game comes along that feels so tailor made for me that it feels like I must have had it commissioned.

This looks incredible!
I love how the new norm is to label things as “Human Made”. I am a maker, so knowing how arts and crafts are created is a huge part of my enjoyment, I guess because I am always seeking to learn more and I can’t do that if I don’t know the process. I also love small team projects. Nothing makes me happier when a project is created by one person, or a small group of people such as with a traditional comic book; Author, Pencil, Inker, Color, Graphic Designer.

There’s something like over 800 unique drawings made for the game, all by one dude. It’s incredible.

That’s what I’m talking about!!

Pretty excited to have backed this one as well, even if it will be a while before I sit down to it. It’s the sort of thing I’ll have fun with even if the game is a little squishy and I suck at it.

Absolutely. I’m going to be checking out this weekend.

Excited to hear your thoughts. I don’t know that we’ll get to our copy anytime soon, but I did have to open and go through everything. The art’s just so cool.

Plus my kids are totally confused about the “Are You Being Gangstalked?” promotional cards I left lying around.
