Starting out with the Avalon game. Really excited to try this adventure game before the dungeon crawl!
Dungeon Pilgram Pocket arrived so went through my first game… Didn’t last long. Had the soundtrack on and it did add some flavour flave. Printed out some QR codes for rules links and added them to the box lid as no rules are provided with this version. Delightfully frightened to dive in again.
Did you print out a specific ruleset? I know the original rulebook is a little much. I printed out something I found on BGG.
I just finally got around to punching out all of the tokens for this one. Desperate for some suggestions on storage solutions with this one! I’m sort of in disbelief about how much went into making this game. Props to Roger.
I use some small Plano containers and it seems to work pretty well. I hope to dive into the dungeon crawl part this week!
Cool I will have to print that out. I have been asking Rodger questions too who has been great and always eager to help out!
Crows of Coppershell Bay probably has the best amount of game to physical game size ratio of anything I’ve played. It’s amazing how much game is packed into that tin. It’s a phenomenally well designed game and having got three games over the last day in, I think I can say it’s the best micro game I’ve played (tin helm included). There is so much to like: the multiple use cards, the tons of options and choices you can make in town, and most of all the amazingly streamlined dungeon delving that has legit variety of encounters and six different dungeon types/missions. It’s a legit full on big box adventure game in a tiny package. I knew I’d like this game after Daniel’s preview but now that I have it, I have to say it’s a damn impressive. Highly recommend and worth paying around $40 usd to buy with shipping from the UK.
That looks great. Very interested now.
My wallet hates this forum.
Last night my friend, my wife, and I, played through the Star Trek: The Next Generation - Interactive VCR Board Game! It was some simple cheesy fun. Just a roll and move game, but fun silly elements like when Captain Kovak address’ you, you need to touch your communicator badge (sticker) and say “YES CAPTAIN KOVAK!” or another player gets to steal a card.
Joined the many people playing Tales of Arthurian Knights last night and we had a great time. Sir Tristan went around boozing and following rumors about pretty women. While Sir Gallahad met angles & fay and even visited other worlds.
Just ordered this game too! Excited for the theme
I haven’t played mine yet and I am sure you will do a video but did you find it easy to incorporate the expansion?
Yes. Super easy. Just takes a ton of space!
I just have the $20 version or whatever it was but it is some good quick fun. I should get the full version as I really enjoy this one. I actually kinda like the small box and the zombie standees over the bazillion minis CMON does.
I was attracted by the box size which is my favorite for a board game (Elder Sign, Spirit Island Horizons) so good to hear it’s a fun game. I like these introductory versions of much bigger games that slightly streamline the experience but still offer a full game. I’m mainly talking about Spirit Island Horizons and Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion.
It would be perfect for you! Yeah decently small box, standees instead of minis except for the heroes and you get the feel of a full zombicide game still. Plus its sort of different than the past games, you do feel like super heroes.
Just finished my first round of Behold: Rome. Took a bit to figure out what I was looking for to start taking actions (you may need to just discard a few turns).
Looking forward to exploring all the different card abilities.
What do you think of this? I liked the concept but the rulebook is insane, it made no sense to me. I met the designer at UKGE, I really wanted to back it but I had too many niggles. Hopefully it’s playable and fun.
