DIY Books, Cards, Papercraft, Game Components, Etc

After hitting some pretty discouraging walls/limitations of home printing I decided to press forward and work on a bunch of stuff today. Really wanting more to read while I am playing, or I guess sort of to book end the evening. Pun intended I suppose.

I really love X Files and really want to watch the original Twin Peaks asap.

I ordered some extra large Legal size paper so I could make bigger books but for some reason that creates a problem printing where it creates a gap in the middle of the booklet. When shrinking down there’s no gap, when printing at size with extra space on the page it for some reason doesn’t butt the images together at the spine. It’s a long running issue online.

Example of problem.

I should have made the Warren of the Ratkin book as a paperback but I didn’t feel like making a custom spine in photoshop. I’ve had a migraine all day, so here it is. I had to chop off a good amount of the inside as I made it in only one signature.
I’m currently printing the Book of Masteries, that will be sewn together in four signatures of eight sheets of paper each. Maybe I’ll have it in me to make a custom spine or maybe I’ll just wrap the cover around the best I can, or enlarge it slightly.. That’s probably what I’ll do.

Showing how I use this template with equally spaced marks for sewing holes and my pin vice drill, which never ended up serving me much with miniatures once I realized a craft blade can create any size hole I wanted, to prepare each signature. This is for Ker Nethalas Book of Masteries.

I also ended up rushing this so the signatures are larger than ideal with 4 signatures containing 8 sheets of paper each. I had a migraine all day yesterday and couldn’t bring myself to do it properly. Ideally each signature would have 4-6 sheets.
