Hey all,
So Arydia, perhaps one of the most enticing D&D games in the box I’ve ever seen, is back up for a 2nd print. For folks, including Daniel, is it worth getting?
Hey all,
So Arydia, perhaps one of the most enticing D&D games in the box I’ve ever seen, is back up for a 2nd print. For folks, including Daniel, is it worth getting?
It’s the best game I got in 2025. I would say yes. For me Arydia truly stands apart. Nothing else really like it.
It’s a great game.
I think it’s a very good game, but like most campaign games I fizzled out about a third of the way through. The main criticism I have about it is that the loot progression felt really slow. However, it’s a wonderfully made adventure game, and the reason I lost interest says more about me and the kinds of games I like to play than it does about the game.
I can’t keep with a campaign game either. So it does not have a procedural narrative mode?
It doesn’t. It seems mostly focused on the side-quests. The main story is just to push you towards finding things to do and getting you involved.
Sadly, while normally loving campaign games, we’re finding the exploration a bit dull. Combat is fun though, but rather spaced out.
