What are you Listening To?

Not really sure how to categorize this (the internet tells me it’s avante-garde, psychedelic, dark ambient, pagan metal for whatever that’s worth), but I’ve been quite enjoying this Lili Refrain album named Kawax. And now I’m going to be looking up her whole discography.

EDIT: Just coming back to say that I really like the above album and 9. Others are good too but less my speed.

Still haven’t played the game but Blood Cultures’ soundtrack for Skate Story is really good. https://youtu.be/wiUFtWT0f8g?si=Kto-lwF14J_eIir1

Also - don’t mean to make things political but things are not doing that great here in MN. Hard weekend. This one feels correct right now. https://youtu.be/aKiVSuDEF2c?si=OMkzSDTv1ijoooT7

Just got the PS Portal and my son just beat the game and it is now his favorite game ever. So I needed to listen to this at work today. So good! I want to go back now and play it again.

Retro Japanese Computer Game Soundtracks. This one in particular I keep coming back to because it builds and slaps!

The new unofficial theme song for The Dungeon Dive.
(And one of my current favorite songs.)

@Dungeondive, I know that you are into synthesizers or have been in the past. Not sure if this is in your interest but I actually have modified many synths myself as well as created my own from scratch. I also have done some experimental improv music and soundscapes. All here if you or anyone likes crazy analog synth, chaos, soothing tones and noise!

That’s awesome! I’m pretty sure I’ve checked out some of your stuff on YouTube before.

Been listening to these a lot.

Stephen Wilson Jr. - Son of Dad - the best country album I’ve heard in decades.

Creation Rebel - complete box set - early dub from the UK. They were Adrian Sherwood’s studio band.

Chapterhouse - Chronology - box set of their complete recordings. Early shoegaze stuff.

Dream Syndicate - Days of Wine and Roses - early 80s college rock stuff.
