Warhammer Quest - Let’s Play - Part 8

Daniel (@dungeondive) enters the home stretch of the Dragon’s Eye quest. The warriors collect three overdue treasure cards from their epic monster fight—the Talon of Death, a healing salve, and the Ensorcelled Blade that’s already proving its worth. Daniel uses the salve to restore Saul to full health before pressing forward.

The final rooms unfold quickly: a corridor, snotling ambush (handled with brutal efficiency thanks to Harlan’s berserk rolls), and a portcullis that slams shut behind them, cutting off retreat. Then the fire chasm appears—the objective room at last. Daniel populates it with a scaled minotaur, orc swordsmen, orc archers, and four skeletons for a cinematic final showdown. He explains his DIY tile-making process using Canson mounting board and spray glue, then sets the stage for Part 9’s climactic battle. The dungeon layout sprawling across the table tells the story of the entire campaign—dead ends, the bottomless pit crossed twice, the spider lair ambush, and now the fire chasm glowing red at the journey’s end.
