I’m a big John Darnielle (Mountain Goats) fan. I think there’s a lot of crossover between his writing, both prose and lyrics, and interest in S&S, Magical Realism, Religious Questioning, Outsiders, etc. The main character in Wolf in White Van is a Play By Post Writer who loves Conan.
Anyways, dude has a new book coming out! There was a podcast a while back that was similar where he broke down all the songs on All Hail West Texas so I’m pretty excited about this one!
I just finished my first DUNGEON DEGENERATES shorty story, I just need my readers to give me notes, it’ll hopefully come out in early fall, it’s called RATS IN THE RATHAUS.

That’s super exciting, man. I’ve always dug DD so I’m sure I’ll be picking it up. Glad to see you branch into prose also, your worlds have always felt thick and full, can’t wait to see it translated. It’ll help that my brain is already full of those vibrant colours, heavy ink lines, and basterds.
