I think I probably have around 80% of the Too Many Bones stuff, which is still a ton, and I was kinda remiss that their spiritual successor, The Elder Scrolls didn’t appeal to me.
I heard they did some fun tweaks with the system though but The Elder Scrolls IP just never floated my boat.
This though? I feel it looks like a blast and maybe the best of both worlds. Really looking forward to checking it out.
I think I had 95% of Too Many Bones, but it just stopped competing for the table. Not sure why, possibly the weakness of the narrative elements? But if we weren’t going back to it anymore there was no reason to keep it. So I sold it all off to get the elder scrolls game during the last crowdfunding campaign (still waiting for delivery).
I agree about Too Little Time looking cool. The whole thing about the state of the persistent game world changing with your plays as you jump through time and leave things in different periods or certain bosses being dead in different time periods because of your previous plays sounds awesome. And it will most likely be really well done since it’s using the world of their flagship IP. But with Chip Theory I know they’ll do a 2nd campaign after the first, with fixes to the rules if they need them, and an expansion, and a ton of reviews. So I’ll probably wait for the 2nd run. Also, since I haven’t even gotten the elder scrolls game yet… But I’m definitely intrigued.
I haven’t played Too Many Bones but went all-in (x2) on Elder Scrolls, which is a great game. Too Little Time does look good but I am short on space so won’t be backing this one.
One of the great things about CTG is they don’t lock gameplay behind crowdfunding exclusives so there will be a way to pick up all the release 1 stuff in a subsequent crowdfunding campaign if wanted.
