Imagine a guy burnt to a crisp by the debacle of Super Dungeon Explore (SDE) but who loves the game and continues to play; modding and improving the rules and adventures. He then gets special permission to sell his mods under a kind of OGL before the owners of SDE completely implode. This is the WOSDEC ruleset and Plague Throne campaign.
So if you like Chibi style miniatures and light skirmish battles akin to playing WOW on the table then the standalone rules, tiles and standees, etc might be for you. On the other hand if you have a bunch of old Super Dungeon Explore kit kicking about and would love to see it rekindled… this is definitely for you.
The WOSDEC rules look like a vast improvement over the original Super Dungeon. I’d love to breathe new life into all my little chibi monsters and characters so I’ve backed.
Might be a tall order to get this crowdfund off the ground given the history of SDE but i remain hopeful
