Tapestries
I am excited to introduce Tapestries RPG and I welcome the Dungeon Divers to join in on the first beta. Tapestries is designed as a solo RPG, but it does support co-op and guided play. It is inspired by Ironsworn and Starforged by Shawn Tomkin. We are currently looking for 20 beta testers, so please only join if you are serious about beta testing. We will keep this invitation exclusive to Dungeon Dive so long as the interest is shown. If we can fill up all the slots here, I will likely open it up to all Dungeon Divers.
**Tapestries keeps the rules close and the story moving.
Establish the situation → Choose an action → Resolve uncertainty → Describe what changed.**
- No moves to memorize. Simply role-play until you encounter uncertainty or a meaningful Challenge.
- Answers when you need them. Resolve uncertainty with a Yes/No Oracle or find inspiration in over 200 tables.
- One system for every Challenge. Apply your Physical, Mental, or Spiritual Focus across three pillars: Conflict, Exploration, and Social.
- Dice with narrative purpose. One challenge die represents your Target; the other represents the Pressure surrounding your attempt. Achieving your goal and avoiding trouble are separate possibilities.
Add complexity when you want it
- Resolution Economy: Spend points on simple Success and Failure menus, or reach into deeper Risk/Reward tables for unexpected consequences.
- Tension, Grip, and Tangle: Let mounting momentum or trouble build toward a turning point that improves or worsens an outcome.
- Position: Move between Vulnerable, Neutral, and Dominant as the situation changes. Further success or failure at the extremes becomes Amplified.
