Tales of Argosa

I feel like this system isn’t getting enough attention, but as a solo RPG system I’ve been really impressed with the potential. Above and beyond the simple mechanics, there is a solo mode that’s been included - you don’t need to find another solo system or use a 3rd party add-on, everything you need is included in the core rules.

In addition, the author just released a PDF that covers a hex-crawl system and what he refers to as a “grid crawl”, which is just his way of generating an adventure in the crumbling ruins of a vast underground city. There’s a two-part video he’s released showing off not only the adventure generators, but the solo mechanics and that link includes links to the product on DriveThru.

I’m absolutely enamored with the gaming system and hope other RPGers (solo and otherwise) can give it a try.

Still need to dive into this one. I really like the layout of the book.

Please do! The layout, art, even just the rules - everything just clicks for me and I don’t fully know why. Maybe it’s close enough to AD&D that it just makes sense to me and has enough modern elements to speed up play and not get bogged down in combat. I’m not sure I’m fully ready for a solo crawl, but I am going to try and just solo my way through a simple scenario using some Loke books and minis to see if I can just get a feel for everything in motion.
