Shadows of Brimstone - Part 17 - Mission Packs - Part 2

Daniel (@dungeondive) wraps up the mission pack coverage with the Feral Vampires, Hellfire Succubi, and Black Fang Tribe. The Feral Vampires offer another hero transformation mechanic—get bitten, become a vampire—plus holy water and wooden stakes as side-bag tokens, a cure mission, and some of the series’ best darkness card artwork. The Hellfire Succubi bolster the Caverns of Cynder (again) with demons whose femme fatale ability creates a rare mechanical distinction between male and female heroes, shadow magic spells, and a spectacular lava-throne objective tile.

The Black Fang Tribe introduces dark-stone-addicted warriors with tribal war chants and void-enhanced mutations. Daniel addresses the portrayal of Native American-inspired enemies thoughtfully, noting the pulp tradition Flying Frog operates within while acknowledging room for more nuanced representation. He observes that all mission packs follow the same structural template—themed enemies, adventure overlay card, darkness cards, encounters, gear, artifacts, threat cards, and four missions—and recommends choosing based on theme preference rather than mechanical variety.

Of all the mission pack enemies, which transformation would you risk: werewolf, vampire, or neither?
