I have noticed that there is a site rule that limits to three consecutive responses from a single user in a row. I have also noticed that certain threads die because people stop posting in them. (And posting keeps them returning to the top of the recent topics.) I have wanted to keep certain threads alive but at times have been the only one posting, I feel that this is typically a temporary thing and it ebbs and flows. I guess I am just wondering if more threads would stay alive if even just one poster keeps a heart beat going in them long enough for the next responder to come along, if that makes sense.
I guess I am wondering the pros and cons of keeping the rule as it is versus changing it.
Thanks.
