I am looking at lovely games from Bedsit Games. I am hyped about the Paupers’ Ladder, but I feel like I might start slower and get cheaper The Crows of Coppershell Bay, and then it’s already significant part of the money to get bigger game already. Despite the size factor. How much superior game experience you think Paupers’ Ladder can offer?
Coppershell is a cute small-box solo experience that features several mini-games. Pauper’s Ladder is a much more ambitious adventure board game. Both are simplistic and whimsical but completely different games set in the same universe.
@Dungeondive is a fan of Paupers ladder… among others you can see coverage in the archive here:
They are pretty different. I have, play and like both. I prefer the concept of Ladder, but probably prefer the reality of Crows!
If the thought of Pauper’s Ladder is what appeals most to you, then I’m not sure you’ll get that grand feeling from Crows. However, if the art and general Stapleton vibe is what appeals, then there is a lot of great game in Crows, and you won’t regret getting it. £16 posted in the UK is wild value.
