After many months of talking about it and trying to get some people together, I was finally able to try my hand at DMing for the first time. I went with Mork Borg because 1) it’s rad as fuck and 2) it’s a much simpler system from D&D and I didn’t want to feel overwhelmed.
We played through the Rotblack Sludge scenario included in the core book and it was a blast. I wasn’t sure how well I’d do with coming up with things on the fly, but it turns out it’s not that hard once you’re invested in your players’ journey and they’re equally invested and involved in what’s going on.
Everyone had a great time and we’re going to turn it into a full campaign. I know there will be a lot more prep needed once we venture out past the premade dungeons, but I’m looking forward to the challenge now that I’ve got some experience.
