I have a feeling most of you incredible folks already know this and thank you so so so much to the folks who have already backed.
For those that don’t know, Marching Order is kinda like a solo RPG that’s kinda like a gamebook that’s kinda like a board game. It’s a solo dungeon crawler that feels a bit like darkest dungeon. Grim humor, dirty dungeons, and selfish Rogues. Daniel has talked about it on the channel a few times.
For folks that have played it before, how would YOU describe it?
Backed! I wasn’t entirely sure what I was supposed to do with all the add ons. I assume the base game comes with an adventure or two, so are the add ons just extra adventures to add into the mix?
PS. what are we supposed to do with the Marching Order 1st ED?
Yes, your assumption seems correct if I’m reading it right!
So 1e, it’s up to you. The content in it (rogues and adventure) are compatible with 2e. There are some rogues you won’t find in the new edition and the adventures aren’t reprinted.
Hey, if you’re one of the metric butt-ton of folks who have backed the Marching Order Kickstarter already, good news! You’re getting this hilarious zine for free.
.
Richards of Rotbottom is full of the worst Rogues possible to bring with you on delves as allies. Your Drunk Uncle is going to Uncle-splain everything to you the entire time. Your Annoying Ex is going to whine and complain with every new room! Who wouldn’t want that?
.
Yes. This is real. We are serious.
.
But if you manage to get them through the delve alive, you’ll be rewarded. Is it worth it? That’s up to you.
.
And if you haven’t backed the Kickstarter yet, you have until 11:59 EDT tonight to get your reward pledge in and get this amazing free zine.
.
Yeah, we like our solo dungeon delving to be fun and maybe just a bit absurd. There ain’t no heroes in Rotbottom - only desperate souls, prying gems out of skeletal hands in crypts so they can buy their next ale.
