Looking for a game that fits the vies of Penny Dreadful

Hey all!

So in the last month I choose to watch and binge all 3 seasons of the show Penny Dreadful. It was not the best show, and it has me inspired to find a solo rpg, a board game, or even a mini centered game that would be fun and similar. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have not seen any portion of Penny Dreadful, but a couple thing come to mind that might be worth taking a closer look at:

  • Folklore: The Affliction
  • anything Vampire: The Masquerade -related.
  • Vaesen
  • may not quite hit the mark but it’s small: Sworn by Ghostlight

I feel like the Geek Gamers youtube channel/author may be in your ballpark as well. Debora(h?) is always focusing in on a Gothic-lit angle (especially in her own work) which may be part of your target theme.

I’ll definitely check out Sworn by Ghostlight, just the name itself works with the vibe of Penny Dreadful.
