In this video, we take a look at Hellbringer, a card game designed to capture the character-building, combo-building, and combat mechanics reminiscent of Diablo. Daniel highlights that while the game lacks exploration, it does a great job of focusing on those key elements. He also points out the variety of loot, skills, and the opportunity to create interesting combinations, especially as you build your character. The game includes several classes, item cards, expansions, and campaign options, which Daniel explains throughout the video. He notes that while the rulebook is decent, learning from the designer’s online videos makes it easier to grasp the gameplay. Daniel also discusses the game’s expansions, which he feels should be part of the base game due to how much they add.
Overall, Daniel’s review is an endorsement, expressing satisfaction with his decision to back the game on Kickstarter, especially for solo or two-player sessions. The game’s design offers a lot of creative potential, making it fun for fans of Diablo-style gameplay.
No idea. I backed it on Kickstarter. If you google Hellbring + Kickstarter, that’ll take you to the campaign page. Maybe you can ask the designer if you can still buy in the pledge manager, or if there will be copies for sell later.
Unfortunately the game designer has this to say on their website.
WHERE CAN I BUY HELLBRINGER?
Since I’m an Indie Game Designer, there’s no where to buy the game. I’m currently discussing with some distributors, but no official answers yet. You might have some luck by asking someone on the Hellbringer’s Discord server. Thank you for your interest!
I just discovered this forum thanks to a member of my Discord. (Kinda late I know :P)
I wanted to let you know that a new crowdfunding campaign is planned for September this year on Gamefound.
An update pack will be available for those who already own the game, and there will also be a brand new expansion named Bestiary & Forbidden Spells, featuring two new Classes (Necromancer and Alchemist), new Monsters, Elite Monsters, new Spells and more.
Yes! I was so excited when I learned about this game on TDD. I signed up to be notified for the new crowd funding campaign and have be patiently awaiting the chance to throw money at your campaign. Looking forward to this September!
Oh, only 2 days left until the Gamefound campaign. That means Hellbringer is next on our table. Just gotta finish up this campaign game we’re almost done with…
Excited to play it. And good luck with the crowdfunding campaign!
Just wanted to say we’re having a great time playing this week! Started a campaign with Hunter & Monk. Just beat the 2nd scenario by the skin of our teeth. The monk didn’t even have any equipment left to transfer over to scenario 3 after the secret portal.
But we’re excited to get more variety from the expansion!
