These days, I almost never set up a game for the first time expecting to actually get through it. I always expect to get something wrong, play badly, and re-start once I feel like I understand how it’s supposed to work (and play badly again!).
I played the first quest with my partner and we loved it put some dungeon synth music on from Spotify and it was a really refreshing and wonderful experience
It’s grip but it wears off after a while I bought it a few years back and first time pulling it out in a few years and noticed it wasn’t gripping as much but was perfectly fine still
Nice! I’ve played that quest line for S&S. it’s a bit of an overlooked gem compared to other dungeon crawler systems. Quite complex, but it uses that complexity well.
Late to the party but i second the Trudvang nod. Price is great, fairly easy to learn(once you get the rune play and miss track down), great art, fun gameplay.
As weird as it sounds, exercise, a good diet, and music.
I’ve never felt so focused as when I work out consistently, eat clean, don’t drink, and put on my favorite fantasy soundscapes. For whatever reason I have much more motivation and have a much easier time learning and staying engaged with any type of game.
