I hope it is ok to create a topic about a @Dungeondive review. I appreciated Daniel’s take on Earthborne Rangers. I backed the most recent kickstarter and have played a ton of it in the past couple of months.

Here’s my take:

  1. I love this game.
  2. I agree with every single one of Daniel’s criticisms of the game. His review is spot on.

The great thing about gaming is that both things can be true. The faults he finds are absolutely valid (for example, how small the Valley deck is, and other decks), but yet I am totally hooked on this and very glad I went in on it.

Thanks! I think it’s a really interesting game. So well made, and a perfect example of a good game that’s just not something made for me. I fully recognize how and why people love it.
