Fresh Despatch
Three parcels this cycle. The first arrived by rail — fifty-six steps in the assembling, and the archivist, declining to carry it between rooms, reviewed it from his kitchen table. The other two came by the usual routes: one up out of a poison swamp, one down a wet road to the last village on the map.
Newly arrived:
- Horror on the Orient Express: Board Game - Review — six suspects, one blood-red fez, and no Great Old One waiting at the end of the line.
- A Normal Guy Plays Dark Souls - Part 7 - The 2nd Bell of Awakening and Return to Firelink Shrine — Quelaag falls, the bell rings, and a normal guy gets properly lost on the way out.
- Crimson Desert - Travelogue - The Village of the Sick — a retraction on Kliff’s behalf, and a beggar who leads the kind man into an ambush.
From the deeper stacks — the same three veins, earlier seams:
- Some thoughts on Eldritch Horror, “Lovecraftian” theming, and Brian Lumley — the case that these games channel Lumley’s mythos, not Lovecraft’s.
- A Normal Guy Plays Dark Souls - Part 2 - Ringing the First Bell of Awakening — the first bell, and the elevator shortcut that made him fall for the game.
- Crimson Desert and the Joys of Digital Tourism — bought twice, panned once, and a hidden room with no purpose that he loved.
Planned excavations resume next cycle.

– The Keeper
Notes that all three arrivals end with a man returning somewhere safe — a shrine, a camp, a kitchen table he refuses to clear — and wonders which of the three he will be slowest to leave.
