Hey everyone, Dan here. After a less than successful first attempt at a Kickstarter we’re going live next week for our sequel game with new rewards and a more reasonable goal. I wanted to share some updates on how the new game works.
-
Exploration. Exploration is similar as before, using playing cards to signify the rooms, but this time the cards are laid out in a 5x4 layout, with the adventurers needing to get from one corner to the opposite corner to complete the floor.
-
Combat. Rather than a static turn based fight, I wanted to add some dynamism to the game with the introduction of movement and positioning. With a simple 3x2 zoned battlefield (positions are randomized with a D6 at the start of battle), and faster rolls (only require a Die vs. Die resolution for attacks, damage is based on degree of success), the combat should be a bit more thematic while speeding up attack resolution.
-
Rooms. Pages now fit two rooms per page. Each floor/depth has a progressive difficulty that will keep you on your toes each run, rather than random rolls based on scenario. Also, all rooms have any special rules or referenced enemies at the bottom of the page with page numbers for ease of search.
