I feel like I get this way once a year where I wanna track down a used copy of the newer Dark Tower Board Game.
This usually coincides with my reading the books, which is also happening again.
But then I watch a playthru or just glance around images on BGG and decide it’s not worth the plastic, space, time, or money for what looks like it could be any generic fantasy theme built around crisis management with a rad electronic tower.
So, I guess my question for anyone whose read the books or owns the game or both, does this work for you? Do you feel that sense of ‘weird’ that gets coupled with The Dark Tower?
And if you didn’t dig it, was there another game, Dark Tower or not, that kinda scratched the itch? Even if it was that almost copyright infringementy sort of game like Lifeform to Alien before Nemesis.
If not, there’s still beams ahead and ka’s a wheel and all that jazz.
