Legends of Expedition Games

Hello,

My name is Ben. I have released two games under the “Legends of Expedition” and would love to share more about them.

These games are all about leading your expedition team through an adventure through the Amazon Rainforest as well as a Crumbling Pyramid.

I wanted to design a game with very easy setup and gameplay while creating a story as you play. It is a blast watching your team take on the expedition and seeing you crew perish one by one as you try to complete your adventure.

If you have played the game, I would love to hear your thoughts!
It is a pleasure to join the Dungeon Dive Forum and I am excited to interact with everyone and discover new games!

I absolutely love the VHS box size. Such a convenient way to release and store a game.

I agree. It was a lovely option provided by The Game Crafter. You can really pack a lot in there.

It’s the perfect size for a small game. I prefer it over the mint tin size.

Looks pretty cool, I will check it out.

OMG lmao for my game I picked the name Legends of the Vanished Realm and not knowing of any other game that had a title that was similar. Good thing my game is completely different from yours haha. I am also coming up with ideas to use The Game Crafter for my project as well. Great Minds I’d say lol

Ha. Great minds for sure. I chose it because of an old show I used to watch, Legends of the Hidden Temple

I haven’t heard of that show. Im going over to youtube to check it out lol. Originally I was going to name it Legends of Darkspire, but then I saw that video from GamingGeek about the Darkspire terrain Kickstater sets so I changed it to this. I just thought the Legends part made it sound more epic and you didn’t know if the players character were legendary or if the adventures the players go on are legendary lol

I was inspired by some of the cool merch to pay a little tribute to The Dungeon Dive

I know there are a few here who backed the Legends of Expedition CS. I hope you are enjoying the games! I would like to share what I have in store for expansions and modes. I wanted to create an overarching story and campaign so this expansion will not only add new cards, tokens and mechanics, but it will add a way to link multiple runs together. Essentially, you will be trying to obtain treasures for a museum exhibit. If you find them it will add funding. Funding will allow you to purchase resources such as flare guns, med kits, and more. Your team member status will remain from run to run. You will choose from a pool of team members to go on expeditions.

Review of The Crumbling Pyramid

"From the moment I cracked open the VHS box (huge fan of these!), read the instructions and set up the game, The Crumbling Pyramid instantly became a go-to game. It offers excellent replayability with difficulty levels ranging from Easy to Legend.

The game is quick to set up, learn, and play, yet offers a challenge that’s not so easy to master. As you venture through the pyramid, every chamber is packed with possibilities: injuries, curses, mummy encounters, danger rolls, valuable treasure (supplies/health), Egyptology notes for re-rolls, letters from home and supplies for dice manipulation, and even the ability to drop a torch to revisit chambers. Be warned, there is a good chance some of your team members will perish along the way!

Don’t get overly confident, the pyramid can crumble behind you, blocking paths, extinguishing torches, and injuring your team. And as if that’s not enough, poison is another threat that can quickly take down a team member if you lack supplies, proper locations, or luck.

Even after navigating every chamber, escape isn’t guaranteed. The Escape Card reveals one final, tough challenge. Flip it, read it, and cross your fingers because only then might you successfully resolve the card and escape to daylight once again!

I highly recommend Legends of Expedition: The Crumbling Pyramid. It offers a ton of adventure in a small VHS box. While it stands strong on its own, the game could build upon what it has with the addition of future expansions.

If you’re new to Upsize Fun games, definitely check out their other games for more exciting and unique adventures!"

If you have a small window to get an adventure in, I think this game will scratch that itch.

The Crumbling Pyramid is the Deal of the Day on TGC! It is a great deal.

In the Crumbling Pyramid rule book, is there a misprint with the Letters from Home? Do they offer the same ability as the supplies, or do they allow for a re-roll?

This is a misprint. Very sorry. You can discard a Letter from Home token to change 1 team member die to any value.

Really cool idea for a t! Lovely little design!

What happens when the mummy is in a room like a poison room, or a room where the green dice aren’t rolled?
